Beef is combined with mushrooms, herbs and spices, then enclosed in an envelope of puff pastry. Ingredients of Cheeseburger Meat Pie

  1. It's 2 of Sheets puff pastry.
  2. Prepare 500 grams of Beef mince.
  3. Prepare 1 of Brown onion, finely chopped.
  4. It's 1 of Red capsicum, finely chopped.
  5. It's 2 tsp of Chopped garlic.
  6. It's 1 cup of Tomato sauce/ketchup.
  7. It's 1/2 cup of Breadcrumb.
  8. You need 1 tsp of Salt.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp of Cracked black pepper.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of Dried oregano.
  11. It's 1 of Egg.
  12. It's 2 cup of Grated cheddar cheese.
  13. Prepare 1/4 cup of Milk.
  14. You need 1 tsp of Dijon mustard.

Cheeseburger Meat Pie instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190*C..
  2. Line the base of a 9" pie tin with pastry. Stab with a fork, line with foil and fill with baking stones. Bake for 10 minutes..
  3. Remove stones and foil and return to oven- bake until golden..
  4. In the meantime- fry onion and capsicum until soft..
  5. Add garlic and fry for two minutes..
  6. Add mince and fry until browned through, making sure to chop it up good (plastic egg flip breaks it up nicely)..
  7. Stir in the sauce, crumb, salt, pepper and oregano. Remove from heat..
  8. In a small bowl throw your milk and egg and whisk together. Stir in mustard, salt and cheese. Set aside..
  9. Spoon mince into pastry, top with cheese mix..
  10. Cover with a layer of pastry and press down edges with a fork..
  11. Cut a couple of slits in the top of the pie and bake for 15 to20 minutes..
  12. For a nice golden crust, brush pastry with milk or butter before baking..
  13. Serve with creamy mash and peas. Nice treat for the kids. Enjoy!.
